When Doug Griller, a 3rd generation rancher, and Kelly Long, an award-winning agricultural entrepreneur, sat down over a cup of coffee, Noble Premium Bison was born. Mutual passions for animal husbandry, sustainable ranching and great food led to a handshake and a promise—to deliver a ranch-to-plate philosophy that promotes care at every step and compromises nothing.
Demand for bison has been growing steadily since chefs and consumers began touting the delicious taste and nutritional qualities of this superior protein. Consistently meeting demand with supply requires not only rigorous standards and processes, but also the experience to execute them. We’ve worked hard to develop the very best practices that ensure the safety and quality of the bison we sell. This means our:

bison are never fed animal by-products or given hormones or antibiotics and are finished on a free choice of quality grains
consistent specs minimize processing, eliminate waste and maximize yields

At Noble Premium Bison, we raise over 4000 head of bison as nature intended on Canadian grasslands using restorative grazing practices—to ensure the sustainability of our animals and the land they live on. This means we are:
raising our bison on larger pastures, maintaining a habitat that is natural to the species and other flora and fauna
utilizing good grazing practices to enhance soil fertility naturally, creating more forage to help sequester carbon underground
undergrazing the land, to establish forages that are high quality and suited to the ecosystem

How does one measure value? At Noble, we believe value is a culmination of how we manage our land and animals, the care and consideration we put into making all our bison products, and the nutritional benefit inherent in this premium protein.
Our bison are range-raised and grain-finished without the use of antibiotics or growth stimulants.
Bison is a leaner protein than beef and may be a healthier choice if you’re looking to maximize nutritional benefit while reducing your calorie or fat intake. Bison is lower in total and saturated fat and has nearly 25% fewer calories than beef.
